Runaway Entertainment is seeking a dependable and organised ASM Book Cover to join The Mousetrap at the St Martin’s Theatre in London.
Job Description
As ASM Book Cover, you will work closely with the Stage Management team during performances and rehearsals, covering all ASM duties and stepping into the DSM role when required. This role is ideal for someone experienced and flexible, with strong attention to detail and a calm, reliable presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the running of rehearsals and performances
- Manage and maintain props and backstage setups
- Support the creation and upkeep of cue sheets, schedules and reports
- Shadow the DSM and maintain prompt book notes for coverage
- Step into the DSM role when required, calling cues and managing show flow
- Liaise effectively with cast, crew and creative teams to ensure smooth daily operations
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience as an ASM on a professional production
- Confident understanding of cue calling and prompt book maintenance
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Adaptable, with a strong team mindset
- Familiarity with traditional proscenium stage operations
Production Dates: Ongoing
Location: St Martin’s Theatre, London
Salary: £40,000 – £46,000
Contract: SOLT/Equity Agreement
