This role is based at the St Martin’s Theatre.
This is a 40-hour per week role; the venue operates seven days a week

Key responsibilities: 

To provide an exceptional level of customer service to all people buying tickets, To contribute to the effective running of the day-to-day operations. Being able to work well in a small team environment and supporting the Ticketing & Box Office Manager. 

Responsible to: Ticketing and Box Office Manager 

Responsible for: Senior Clerk/s and Casual Clerk/s 

System: 

  • Actively manage pricing within the Spektrix system to maximise sales, regularly monitoring performance on a show-by-show basis.
  • Stay up to date with all aspects of the ticketing system and be prepared to step in for the Ticketing and Box Office Manager when needed, including overseeing event setups.
  • Maintain awareness of all ticketing-related IT systems and hardware to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Sales and Box office: 

  • Engaging with customers and processing sales in person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Supporting the Ticketing and Box Office Manager with day-to-day decision-making and problem-solving in the Box Office and during incoming shows.
  • Staying informed about any updates, changes, or new offers.
  • Providing feedback and suggestions to the Ticketing and Box Office Manager on what is working well and where improvements could be made.

Desirable skills & qualities: 

  • The ideal candidate will have a solid background in customer service and sales, preferably in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Experience with ticketing systems is essential, with knowledge of Spektrix considered a strong advantage.
  • They should also be comfortable working with external marketing companies, including managing deals/promotions, experience with ticketing setup is also an advantage.
  • A passion for theatre is important, along with a strategic mindset when it comes to implementing dynamic pricing and identifying upselling opportunities to maximise revenue.

Salary 

£746.99 per week, for a 40 hour per week contract (£38 843.48 per annum)
